Hi there! I'm kind Krista! I am introducing myself to you as 'Kind Krista' simply because I am very kind! I’m passionate about learning and deeply value education and continuous growth. This enthusiasm, combined with my openness, flexibility, and adaptability, has greatly contributed to my academic and professional success.
Essentially, it has driven me to complete all levels of my education including a master’s degree in Distance Education & E-Learning from the University of Maryland Global Campus, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. George’s University along with over 10 certificate courses, CAPE, and CXC subjects. My love for learning also fuels my commitment to supporting and empowering others, ensuring that every educational experience is engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful.
With over 8 years of experience educating learners aged 3 to 26, both professionally and voluntarily, I strive to make a positive impact in various contexts. As an active member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, I am dedicated to excellence and always aim to exceed expectations.
My expertise spans face-to-face education, distance education & e-learning, admissions, production, and media & journalism, with strong skills in communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, attention to detail, and analysis. My personal e-portfolio and YouTube channel showcase my skills, creativity, and dedication, documenting my accomplishments and serving as a resource for my ongoing professional development.
Outside of my professional endeavors, I find joy in diving into a good book and immersing myself in the beauty of nature. These pursuits offer a perfect balance to my life and continuously fuel my curiosity, creativity, and love for discovering new things.

I was recently initiated (Fall 2023) into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. I was initiated at University of Maryland Global Campus. I am among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
President's List
I was named to the inaugural President's List in June 2024 at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). Students who qualified for the prestigious list at UMGC must have graduated with a bachelor's or master's degree and a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 4.0. I earned a Master of Distance Education and E-Learning.
